Radio Skid Row

Radio Skid Row is a historic grassroots community radio station that has been broadcasting for 40 years in Warang/Sydney and Sydney’s Inner-West. The station has a diverse range of programs, which it broadcasts in 17 languages - playing reggae, hip-hop and music from around the world as well as from the local community. The radio champions first nations rights and culture, and champions advocacy for other marginalised communities and cultures.

In 2020, I collaborated with Radio Skid Row to create, produce and broadcast a weekly show occupying a one-hour slot in the station’s program rotation. The show featured music with a core focus on 90s underground hip-hop, soul, funk and further jazz-related genres, as well as listener participation.
